ARCO 2014

Hi beauties!

Good morning! As you might already know, I visited ARCO last friday. My uncle participated in ARCO so I went there with my boy to see his stand. I have to say that the sculptures that my uncle exposed in ARCO were amazing, so cool and colorful. Everyone that was walking by stopped and stared at his sculptures. They even wanted to touch them. It was a complete success and he sold almost every piece. I did a post about his art when I started this blog and there you can find a lot of information about what he does and his philosophy. You can check out that post here. Moving on to the outfit I wore, I went for a cool casual style with boyfriend jeans and killer heels. I have to say that the heels I wore are not the best to take to ARCO because you´re standing and walking for a long time. By the end of the morning, my feet were burning. Anyways, I paired by boyfriend jeans with a black lingerie style top and a plaid thick shirt to give the outfit that cool and trendy touch. What do you guys think?

Buenos días! Como ya sabréis, fui a ARCO el viernes pasado. Mi tío exponía en ARCO, por lo que me acerqué con mi chico a ver su stand. Tengo que decir que las piezas que expuso eran increíbles, súper chulas y coloridas. Todo el mundo que pasaba por ahí se paraba a admirarlas, incluso algunos querían tocarlas! Fue un éxito rotundo y vendió casi todas las piezas. Hice un post sobre el arte de mi tío hace algún tiempo, cuando empecé el blog. Ahí podréis encontrar un montón de información sobre su arte y su filosofía. Lo podéis ver aquí. Moviéndonos al outfit que llevé, aposté por un estilo cool casual con vaqueros boyfriend y súper taconazos. Tengo que reconocer que los tacones que llevé no son el mejor calzado para llevar a ARCO porque estás andando y de pie constantemente. Al final de la mañana mis pies estaban destrozados. Combiné mis vaqueros boyfriend con un top negro de estilo lencero y una camisa de cuadros que le dan ese toque cool y trendy al look. Qué os parece chicos?

Estética y emoción

En mi opinión, la moda y el arte están íntimamente relacionados como dos conceptos que revelan creatividad, imaginación, sentimiento y placer estético.

No soy ni mucho menos una entendida del arte, desconozco el campo por completo; pero hay una pizca de curiosidad e interés en mí que me viene de familia. 

En el post de hoy os quiero enseñar un concepto creativo, un sentimiento materializado estéticamente perfecto. Evidence, Soft & Touch Therapy, The Slow Motion Band, nombres que deleitan e invitan a probar una nueva experiencia.  

Las fotografías que os muestro a continuación corresponden a la última colección (2012-2013) del artista Santiago Villanueva. Define su obra como un arte vinculado a la experiencia íntima del cuerpo y del tiempo, a la búsqueda de un retrato interior con la belleza como interlocutor esencial.

In my opinion, art and fashion are intimately united. Two concepts that reveal creativity, imagination, emotion and aesthetic pleasure.

I´m not an art expert, I completely ignore this field but I´m curious and interested for family reasons.

In today´s post I wanna show you a creative concept, a materialized emotion that´s aesthetically perfect. Evidence, Soft & Touch Therapy, The Slow Motion Band, names that delight and encourage  to try a new experience.

The following photographs belong to the artist Santiago Villanueva´s latest collection (2012-2013). He defines his work as art conceived as an intimate experience of body and time, a quest for an internal portrait in which beauty becomes an essential interlocutor.

“Acciones que sólo pueden ser interpretadas desde los sentidos. La obra no pretende provocar simple placer visual o experiencia táctil. Su razón es estimular el deseo, seducirnos hasta penetrar sensorialmente en el objeto y percibir la emoción que propone desde un lugar más íntimo, más subjetivo.”

“Desde la dualidad que aporta el lenguaje de los sentidos y el lenguaje de la materia, la obra se define y se construye. Una epidermis de factura industrial como materialización de emociones orgánicas internas es la paradoja elegida como herramienta narrativa.”

Os animo a conocer una nueva sensación, un arte, que sin duda no os dejará indiferentes; ya que sólo la estética es brillante, innovadora y única. Es tendencia.

“These works are about actions, which can only be interpreted through the senses. Thus, they are not meant to provoke simple visual pleasure or mere tactile experiences. On the contrary, they are meant to stimulate desire, to seduce us until we sensorially penetrate the objects, until we can feel the emotions from a deeply private and subjective place.”

“This whole concept, hence, is built and defined from its core as a duality of two languages that constantly interact: one of matter and one of senses. It is a sort of paradox used as a narrative tool, a soft skin of industrial manufacture, crystallizing the internal organic emotions.”

I encourage you guys to try these new experience that won´t leave you indifferent as it´s aesthetic is just brilliant, innovative and unique. It´s trendy.
